About our First Nations Health Unit

The First Nations Health Unit (FNHU) is a dedicated resource that provides holistic and culturally safe care to Victoria’s First Nations patients and consumers.

Working as part of the FNHU, our First Nations Hospital Liaison Officers (FNHLOs) provide direct support to First Nations patients, consumers, their families and support people through bedside visits, advocacy and guidance.

The FNHU team is focused on breaking down barriers for First Nations patients and consumers, and supporting our treating teams to provide inclusive and culturally appropriate care.
