Security office
A security office is located on the ground floor inside the Emergency Department waiting area.

Lost property
Personal belongings brought into hospital by emergency patients or left behind on wards or in clinics are safely stored at the security office on the ground floor.
Visit the security office to check the lost property for your belongings.
Try to avoid bringing valuable items when coming to stay in hospital. We do not accept liability for lost or missing items.
Concerns about security or safety
Speak to a staff member or a Security Officer if you have any concerns about your or someone else’s security or safety at the RMH Parkville.
If you're concerned about security or safety on the street and outside the hospital, contact Victoria Police first:
- Call Triple Zero (000) in an emergency, to report a crime in progress or for immediate police attendance
- Call the local police station or the non-urgent Police Assistance Line on 131 444 to report a non-urgent crime or event after the offender has left the site
If you are worried about the health or condition of a patient:
- speak to the patient’s care team or Nurse Unit Manager on the ward
- call our 1800 WORRIED service (see If you’re worried, we’re worried)
- provide feedback through our Consumer Liaison service
Unauthorised filming, photography or media on site
Photographers, videographers and members of the media must at all times be escorted by an RMH media liaison while on site. This is to protect the privacy, safety and wellbeing of our patients, consumers, staff and other visitors.
