What we do

Adult Congenital Cardiology is part of the Cardiology Service at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. We are the largest provider of Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) services in Victoria and have a growing team of experts in all sub-specialties, including:

  • cardiac imaging
  • catheter intervention
  • electrophysiology
  • pregnancy care and cardiac surgery.

We work closely with the Royal Women’s Hospital and the Royal Children’s Hospital.

Many of our patients are direct graduates from the Royal Children’s Hospital Cardiology Service as they reach adulthood. We also accept new referrals from general practitioners (GPs) and other cardiologists or physicians from across Victoria and interstate.

Who can use our service

We are happy to see any patients aged 18 or over who have a congenital heart defect.
