This workshop will focus on psychological skills for aiding individuals in their journey towards recovery from psychosis. Drawing from contemporary psychological frameworks, it will explore strategies to effectively engage and support individuals coping with challenges such as paranoia, hallucinations, delusions, depression, and anxiety. These approaches will be considered within a trauma-informed and recovery-focused perspective, ensuring that participants gain valuable insights and practical tools for their work. This workshop takes place at the Hospital Education Centre at the RMH Royal Park.

The Social and Emotional Well Being team is a specialised consultation service made up of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander lived experience and clinical staff specialised in mental health based at the RMH MHS. We invite you to attend this interactive full day training. We will share our perspectives in providing culturally safe mental health care within a Western health system and unpack proactive ways you can improve your practice.
