Collection Requirements

6 ml Serum with no Gel.

Min Vol: 3 aliquots of 500uL

Send to pathology immediately for centrifugation and storage at -70C.

On recipt of specimen: Allow to clot at room temperature (20-25 C) for up to 60 mins.  Centrifuge within 1 hour of collection, after clotting, at 3800 rpm for 10 minutes.  Immediately transfer approximately 500 uL of serum into 3 aliquot tubes (Sarstedt 2 mL).  Immediately freeze all aliquots at -70 C until transport to RCH.   

Transport on dry-ice, do not allow to thaw prior or during transport.
