Notes

Lab processing: On receipt of specimen: Allow to clot at room temperature (20-25 C) for up to one hour.  Centrifuge within 4 hours of collection and freeze 3 x 500 uL of serum at -70 C (use 2mL Sarstedt tubes). Transport to RCH on dry-ice, do not allow to thaw prior or during transport.

Complement Functional : This test includes three tests : Classical pathway (CH50), Alternative pathway (AH50) and Mannose Binding Lectin
