The nursing role is evolving.

As a major tertiary hospital, the Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) offers a vast range of clinical areas and a supportive culture.

We know our nurses join us for a range of different reasons and at different stages of their career.

Whether you are beginning or advancing your career we’re always happy to have a conversation about what nursing with us might mean to you.

With a long history in nursing and a large modern nursing workforce we know that the role of nurses is evolving. Many of our nurses are now leading the way in nursing education, and patient safety and quality. We are proud to invest in our nurses to help them develop and grow their careers through learning opportunities, fellowships and more.

We offer our nurses a comprehensive range of career opportunities, resources and employment options to meet their individual needs.

ICU Clinical Nurse Specialist Team Leader Lewis speaks on his big move from Scotland to the RMH ICU.

We do things the Melbourne Way. We put people first, we lead with kindness, and we achieve excellence together. We are the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
